Weekly classes are organized in 6-week sessions. Classes are offered 6 days a week in our beautiful studio in Chicago, and once a week in Niles through the Golf Maine Park District.

Class Size & Cancellation
Dependent on class size per session, the Jasmin Jahal School of Dance and the Golf Maine Park District reserve the right to cancel a class. Changes to the class schedule will be reflected on this site. If you registered for a class that must be canceled, you will be notified directly with a telephone call from the studio or the park district to discuss an alternate class.
Class Age
Classes are for adults of any age and teens 13 years old and up. Special classes for children are offered periodically based on demand and usually are for Girls 8 to 12 years old, or for Mother-Daughter classes the girls are 4 to 12 years old.
Missed Classes
If you miss your class for any reason, you may make up that class within the current 6 week session. Missed classes cannot be carried over to the next session. You may also make up a belly dance class in the Belly Aerobics classes, because they are open to all levels. If you take class in Chicago, you may make up a class in the Niles location. If you take class in Niles, you may make up a class in the Chicago location. Belly dance classes in both locations are always coordinated to offer the same class content.
Class Attire
Belly Dance: Hip scarf, leotards or leggings, bare feet or dance shoes. No jeans, baggy clothes, street clothes or sweat suits. Please acquire a set of finger cymbals for use in any level that includes cymbal playing (cymbals may be purchased at the studio). Level 3 dancers are required to wear ballet slippers.
Belly Aerobics: Exercise clothes and gym shoes that are not worn outdoors.
Tribal Fusion: Quiet hip scarves preferred, finger cymbals required.
