Chicago Shimmyfest
A week long intensive study under the mentorship of Jasmin Jahal, this annual event draws dancers from all over the U.S. and abroad, and features a theater performance to live Arabic music. From workshop to private coaching, and various performance options, this event challenges intermediate thru professional level dancers.

Dance Certification
The certification program for the Jasmin Jahal Method of Oriental Dance provides the unique opportunity to become accredited in classical and contemporary Middle Eastern dance, an art form rooted in authentic folkloric traditions and history. The program focuses on classical and modern oriental, folkloric and Ancient Egyptian styles. You will be coached to dance with the whole body and to enhance the dance with such accessories as veil, finger cymbals and stick without using them as gimmicks or props. Technique, professional performance and teaching certifications are offered through a series of workshops, home study and testing to help you develop your skills, understanding and self-expression.
