| History of Oriental Dance | Feb 19 | Lecture-Discussion with Jasmin Anyone who loves Middle Eastern dance and music will love this workshop. Video clips will be presented as the history of the dance is taken from ancient Egyptian times thru the millenium to present day. Famous dancers and dance styles from all over the Middle East will be viewed, comparec and contrasted. This workshop is open to everyone. 3 to 5 pm Pre-Registraiton Discount: $35 if you register before Feb 19 $40 at the door |

| Super Shimmy | March 18 | Improve your shimmy technique and hip articulation at Jasmin's famous Super Shimmy workshop. You will learn 7 different types of shimmy. From technique to stamina, Jasmin will 'super"-vise your hips! This is a great workout and alot of fun. Be prepared to smile while you sweat! 3 to 5 pm Great for all levels! | Rhythms & Cymbals | April 8 | Improve your understanding of Arabic dance music as well as increase your desterity with cymbal playing! The rhthms most popularly used in oriental dance music are presented and broken down in an easy-to-understand manner. You will then layer appropriate authentic dance steps and practice cymbal patterns to each of the rhythms. 3 to 5 pm Pre-requisite: One 6-week session of level 1 with finger cymbals Pre-registration Discount: $35 if you reigster before April 15 $40 at the door |

| Better Bellies | JulyTBA | From Flab to Fab! A great workout for your abs and core muscles! This class focuses on toning and conditioning your mid-section to improve the Belly movements of belly dance, including Rolls, Flutters, Contractions, Pops, Waves, Undulations and Camelwalks. It's a fun challenge for dancers of all levels. 7 to 9 pm Pre-registration Discount: $35 if you register before May 20 $40 at the door |

| Oriental Dance Certification Level 1 | May 30-31 | Jasmin Jahal Method of Oriental Dance Level 1 Certification 2-day workshop and testing 6:30 - 9:30 pm on both evenings Please call the studio for brochure which describes the program and the study materials. | Shopping Bazaar | June 5 | As part of our week of Shimmyfest fun, we are hosting a reception at the studio on Tues evening Aug 2. There will be goodies to munch on and belly dance vendors to tempt your costuming desires! From make up to jewelry to professional costumes and accessories, we will have something for everyone!
