Best Egyptian Dance Show of the Year!

The Shimmyfest Gala Show will have group and solo performances including Jasmin Jahal, and features LIVE ARABIC MUSIC!

Doors open at 4:30pm, show starts at 5pm.

The show will be professionally filmed and copies will be available to to purchase.

Ttickets are $15 each. On or after June 1, ticket price is $20 each.

You may purchase your tickets at the studio in person, call the studio at 773.777.4037, or purchase at the door.

Shimmyfest participants need not purchase a ticket.

Gala Show Performers:

An exciting part of the Shimmyfest experience is to perform in a beautiful, state-of-the art, 300 seat theater. You can dance a solo in one of two ways:

a) You can bring your own recorded music and perform a choreography or improv. There are 6 solo spots in the program available. The music must be no more than 7 minutes in length. Please inform us before June 1 which piece of music you are dancing to, what kind of dance it is (ie, stick dance, cymbal dance, etc.), and you will need to supply 2 copies of a CD with only that music on it by the first day of the workshop.

b) OR you may choose to challenge yourself with the Art of Improvisation and perform to the live Arabic music! There are 8 spots available in the program. The music will run appx. 6-9 minutes, including a finale'.
